fama re.capital announces the arrival of Laura Jaguaribe as Partner and Head of the Inequalities Vertical
Since its inception, fama re.capital has been driven by the purpose of developing financial solutions aimed at systemic transformation, with a focus on climate transition, environmental regeneration, and reducing inequality. Guided by analytical rigor and a long-term perspective, the firm is powered by the conviction that performance and purpose can—and must—advance together.
Inequality is not just a social challenge. It is also a defining economic factor that amplifies risks, reduces productivity, and undermines collective prosperity. At fama re.capital, we believe that addressing it is a smart financial strategy—one that drives resilience, consistent returns, and long-term value for investors and society.
With this conviction, we are pleased to announce the arrival of Laura Jaguaribe as Partner and Head of the Inequalities Vertical, strengthening our partnership alongside Fabio Alperowitch (Founder and CIO), Sergio Gusmão Suchodolski (CEO), and Tiago Penido Gomes (Head of the Climate Vertical).
With a career that combines innovation and purpose, Laura brings more than two decades of experience in strategy, investments, and governance. She worked at Península, the investment firm of the Abilio Diniz family, where she led the Responsible Investments Committee, and she founded Altitude Ventures, a fund focused on businesses addressing structural challenges in essential areas for Brazil’s development. She holds a Master’s degree from INSEAD Business School, with a focus on individual, organizational, and systemic transformation, and was recognized by LAVCA as one of the Top Women Investors in LatAm Tech in 2023 and 2024.
““Laura’s arrival enhances our ability to transform major structural challenges into consistent and scalable value theses. She combines strategic vision and analytical depth with a proven track record of uniting financial returns and long-term value—attributes that reflect the spirit of fama re.capital.”, says Sergio Gusmão Suchodolski, CEO.
With Laura Jaguaribe in Inequalities Vertical, Tiago Penido Gomes in Clima and Andréa Álvares in Socio-bioeconomy, fama re.capital strengthens its thematic structure under the leadership of Sergio Gusmão Suchodolski and Fabio Alperowitch as guardian of the firm’s investment philosophy. In doing so, the firm reaffirms its commitment to aligning financial performance with sustainable value—dimensions that, to us, are inseparable and equally non-negotiable.
For fama re.capital, investing means building permanence and understanding that the future of enduring returns will only be sustained when it is human, inclusive, and regenerative.
